⚠️ Attendance is extremely important.

Every player is required to complete the 5-day UIL acclimatization period before participating fully in practice. We have a scrimmage vs. Tyler Legacy during the first week of school, and missing days could make a player ineligible to participate in that scrimmage.

Tyler High School Freshman Orientation

Attention, incoming freshmen and families!

Join us for Tyler High School Freshman Orientation as we welcome the Class of 2030 and help students prepare for a successful start to high school.

During orientation, students will have the opportunity to:

Learn about school expectations and campus procedures
Explore student clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities
Receive important information about schedules, technology, and student resources
Become familiar with the campus before the first day of school

We encourage all incoming freshmen and their families to attend. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, meet new classmates, and begin the school year with confidence.

This summer, Tyler High School JROTC students attended the JROTC Cadet Leadership Camp. This camp puts cadets in real leadership positions and makes them work with other cadets that they havce never met. It gives them the opportunity to improve and demonstrate what leadership skills THS JROTC has been working on throught the school year. Along with putting them in challenging positions that make them overcome fears and self doubt while competing against their peers.
This year the camp was held at Newcombe Tennis Ranch for three days.

Tyler High 25-26 Yearbooks have arrived. Mrs. Hill will be at the school on Thursday June 25, from 1-3 to hand out the ones that have already been purchased. See you then!

Join us for fun and competitive camp focused on:
-shooting and ball handling
-defense & footwork
-game play & competitions

Led by Tyler High coaches and players. This camp is designed to help athletes of all skill levels improve confidence, fundamentals, and overall performance.

During the last week of school, on-level, first period US History classes of Wilhite and Woodward made parade floats based on the eras they studied this year: Gilded Age, Progressive Era, World Power, Great Depression, WWII, Cold War, 60s, 70s & 80s, 90s & Today. Students worked on floats in teams for over a week. They paraded the floats around the square, pausing under the Lion for Admin to help judge.

Congratulations to our Tyler High School teachers recognized through the Tyler ISD TOP (Tyler Optimal Performance) designation under the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)!
This recognition celebrates highly effective educators who continue to make a positive impact on student learning and success every day. We are proud of our teachers and grateful for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

The Tyler High School Band program is proud to announce that Samuel Williams was named an Outstanding Performer on his Snare solo at the 2026 UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest! This is the highest honor awarded at the state contest and recognizes exceptional musicianship, artistry, technical excellence, and overall quality of performance.  Only a very small percentage (1-2%) of soloist statewide receive this award of distinction yearly, placing Samuel among the very top high school soloist in Texas, which puts him among the very best in the nation! Samuel is a 4X God Medalist at the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest…we are extremely proud of him! His future plans include marching with Tyler Junior College Apache Drumline! Congratulations!! 🦁💙🎶🥁

A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for treating our teachers and staff to a baked potato luncheon today! We are so thankful for the support and appreciation shown to our campus. Also, a special thank you to Texas Roadhouse for helping sponsor this luncheon for our staff! Your generosity and support mean so much to our Tyler High family! 💙🦁

Tonight marked the start of a new season as we kicked things off with the Blue & White Spring Football Game! A great night of competition, energy, and excitement as we look ahead to the season to come. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the team — the future is bright! 🏈💙🤍
