🎾 FIGHTING TO THE FINISH! 🦁💙 Our Tyler High Tennis Teams may not have gotten the wins today, but they showed heart, determination, and plenty of fight! Every point was battled for, every match was played with pride, and our Lions never stopped competing. 👏🔥 David Flores 11th grade had 2 wins as well as Liliana Gaona 10th grade had 2 wins for Tyler High. Keep your heads up, Lions! Wins will come—keep working, keep believing, and keep representing Tyler High with pride! 🎾🦁💙

📚✨ Learning figurative language through a little friendly competition!

Mrs. Hodge’s English classes put their skills to the test with a fun figurative language card sort game! Students worked together to identify and sort examples while strengthening their understanding of different types of figurative language.

Learning is always better when students can get involved, collaborate, and have a little fun along the way! 🦁📖

📚✨ Learning Organization Skills at Tyler High!

Our Tyler High AVID I students are putting their organizational skills into action with a fun and interactive Carousel Brainstorm activity! 🧠🔄

Students rotated through stations, sharing ideas and strategies for staying organized, managing responsibilities, and setting themselves up for success. These collaborative activities help our Tyler Lions build practical skills they can use both in the classroom and beyond. 💙🦁

Mrs. Cash’s Art 2 PAP students from Tyler High recently had the amazing opportunity to design and decorate the chalkboard wall at the First Watch on East 9th Street here in Tyler! These talented students did a fantastic job, and we couldn’t be prouder of them for leaving their creative mark on our community. A huge thank you and congratulations to Amariles Rosales, Carlos Lopez, Kimberly Maldonado, and Henry Penaloza for putting Tyler High on the map! 🎨✨

Before diving into their first Algebra 2 lesson, algebra 2 students started with a simple 1–100 partner challenge! Students took turns finding the numbers in order, working together, communicating, and getting comfortable with a new partner. Sometimes, learning begins with teamwork, laughter, and building camaraderie. ❤️ Here’s to new partners, new friendships, and a great year of learning together! 🦁💙

📚❤️ Swipe right on a great read! Sophomore English students at Tyler High mixed learning with a little fun today during Book Speed Dating! Students rotated through a variety of books, getting to know different genres, authors, and stories before choosing one that caught their interest. The goal? Help every student discover a book they’re excited to read because the best reading journeys start with the perfect match! 📖✨ Way to go, Lions, for diving into new adventures one page at a time!🦁💙

Today, the Tyler High Lions proudly joined the entire Tyler ISD family for an inspiring Convocation as we kicked off a brand-new school year! 🦁💙 From celebrating our incredible educators and staff to embracing the vision for an amazing year ahead, the energy in the room was contagious.
