Tyler High Students visited the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas. Such an exciting destination for our students’ incentive reward. The museum offers a wide range of interactive exhibits and educational programs that explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Students had an opportunity to learn outside of the classroom from the Perot Museum, offering a hands-on approach to learning. Students engaged with exhibits that allow them to touch, explore, and interact with various scientific concepts from the T. Rex Boone Pickens Life Then and Now Hall, featuring dinosaur fossils and interactive displays, to the Being Human Hall, which explores the complexities of the human body and mind, there is something to captivate to all!

THS Student, Antonio Ruiz, was awarded a state medal at VASE at the 30th Annual Event. He competed against 33,127 Visual Art entries and only 2, 342 were awarded state qualifiers. 1418 of those received a state rating of 4. Ruiz traveled with other state qualifiers to San Marcos for a weekend of ceremonies, workshops, viewing the other art pieces, and of course, spending money with the vendors.

Tuesday night, the UIL One Act Play, The Giver, was showcased in the THS Auditorium. The students competed before Spring Break and then presented the play before an audience of friends, family, and community members. Tonight's Tyler High Men's Soccer game began with the recognition of their two seniors; Ariel Alfaro and Henry Monsivais. Thank you gentlemen for the leadership, dedication, and heart you've given to our team. Go make great things happen!

March 7, 2024, is Big Art Day across the state of Texas. It is an attempt by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) to engage all art educators, their students, and communities in a single-day art event. THS students created over 1000 origami pieces to show the connection between math and art. WAY TO GO!! #THSStudentMade

Saturday, March 2, the THS JROTC celebrated the year with their Military Ball! The seniors were presented with their graduation stoles, Mr and Miss JROTC were crowned, guest speaker, Mr Venters spoke and then the night was danced away with lots of fun to be had. Congratulations for the year! Here's to next year!
