Gators, please help us welcome SpEd Inclusion Asst., Candace Johnson!
Where are you from? I'm grew up in Whitehouse, Texas. I also graduated from Whitehouse way back in 2000.
Family? I have a 19-year-old daughter Avery. She graduated from Tyler Legacy in 2022 and is a former Gator. My son Samuel is an upcoming Three Lakes Gator this school year.
Hobbies? I love anything on the water. I love paddle boarding and kayaking. I love to craft and I'm also learning to love dirt track racing.
Experience in education? This will be my third school year with Tyler ISD. I have been with Owens as a resource aide and as a PreK aide.
Favorite middle school memory? My favorite memories in middle school are the pep rallies, football games and dances. I loved the school spirit that middle school brings. I’m excited to join the Three Lakes campus and look forward to what this school year brings.
Gators, please help us welcome Marcie Chaney to the The Swamp! She will be teaching 8th grade RLA.
Where are you from? Canton, Tx born and raised!
Family: I have a large family with 4 of my own daughters as well as a bonus son and daughter.
Hobbies: I am an avid reader, I enjoy cooking and spending time with friends and family.
Experience in education: I am an A&M Commerce graduate. I have always taught RLA from 4th-8th grade. My most recent positions were RLA as a 4th grade teacher for two years. Prior to that I was RLA 6-8 here at TLMS for 5 years.
Favorite middle school memory? I remember a fundraiser where we put a jar on every teachers desk and the teacher with the most money collected had to kiss a pig. Of course we all voted for the new young science teacher! As an adult I am friends with him now and love to retell his students the story!
Three Lakes Middle School is a family environment! We have so many staff members whose children attend TLMS. We even have staff members that now have their children as co workers. We think that speaks to our strong culture here at The Swamp! We are so proud of what we have accomplished together and excited to go bigger and better in 2024-2025!

Gators, we have another exciting staffing announcement! Mrs. Fowler will no longer be teaching RLA at Three Lakes, she will serve as a master teacher here at The Swamp along with our other master teacher, Mrs. McHann! Mrs. Fowler brings a multitude of experience and expertise that she will continue to share with students and staff alike. We are excited for her to transition into this new position right here at Three Lakes. Please join us in congratulating her on her new position!
Who doesn't love pizza? Our PTA has already had their first meeting this summer to start mapping out all the fun to come for our gators this year. We are excited to announce they are adding Pizza By The Slice days at TLMS; the slices will be delivered to advisory classes. More information coming soon, but here are those dates:

Its July 1st. You know what that means? We are getting that much closer to Three Lakes fall sports starting like cross country, football, and volleyball! We can hardly wait. We love to watch our gators compete! LET'S GO GATORS!
Hope you are staying cool in this summer heat! We are gearing up for a great 2024-2025 here at The Swamp. We have tentatively planned Kona Ice days for those who like to put dates on their calendar. These are the dates that Kona Ice will visit all three of our lunches each month.

That's a wrap on the first half of summer workout sessions. Way to put in the work and to get #bettereveryday!!!! The workouts will resume on July 8th. Hope all of our gators are having a wonderful summer!!
