There’s nothing quite like the moment an educator receives kind words from a student or their family. For educators, these moments are reminders of the impact they’re making—often in ways they don’t even realize. Families and students, your words hold power. They validate the late nights spent planning lessons, the extra time spent helping a struggling learner, and the unwavering commitment to creating a safe, welcoming space for every child. These expressions of gratitude are pure gold in a teacher’s world.

One of the best parts of my day as a principal? Making positive phone calls home. It’s such a simple gesture, but it brings joy to everyone involved—students, families, and me. Hearing the joy in a parent’s voice or the surprise in their reaction when they realize it’s not a call about anything negative—it’s priceless. Whether it’s celebrating an act of kindness, academic growth, or just being an all-around wonderful human being, these conversations are a bright spot in the day. To the families I’ve had the privilege of calling: thank you for letting me share in your child’s successes. These moments truly make my day. Way to go Gators! 💛 🐊
