It's always a pleasure to host community members in our classrooms at The Swamp. Mr. Folmar, from 💍Jim's Jewelers💎, visited AVID-6 and shared his journey as a successful bench jeweler who serves the East Texas community. Mr. Folmar encouraged students to pursue their passion even if it doesn't require a college degree. Doing what you love makes for a most fulfilling career.

After years of dedicated service, Mrs. Dobbs is retiring from Tyler ISD! She has been the picture of professionalism, grace, and excellence in everything she’s done. Her presence on our campus has made a lasting impact, and her absence will be deeply felt. We will miss her greatly, but we’re excited for the new adventures ahead for her and Mr. Dobbs as they enjoy retirement together. Congratulations, Mrs. Dobbs—you’ve earned every moment!
