Please help us welcome Ms. Goldie Barnard to our Owens Family! She will be joining our 2nd grade team as Mrs. McDaniel steps away from Owens to return to her family full time. Ms. Barnard has been a student teacher on our campus for the entirety of the 2022 Fall semester. She has done amazing work with our students and will seamlessly transition into her new role in 2nd grade! We couldn't be more thrilled to have Ms. Barnard join our staff and we can't wait for you to meet her if you haven't already!

The PE Posse is on the move! Their goal is to teach 100% of all Owens first graders how to tie their shoes! We want all of our first graders to be a part of the Shoe Tying Team at Owens. 🤩You can help by having your students practice at home too.👟🥾👞Congrats to our first certificate recipients!

🧡Attitude of Gratitude 🧡: We appreciate our office staff beyond words. These ladies help keep things running smoothly from the moment they walk in the door until the minute they leave. They always have a smile and are ready to help in any way they can. What do you love most about the office crew?

Not only do they make sure our learning environments are ready for learning, but make sure our students are ready to learn (with full bellies and clean hands!) as well. Nothing better than Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee to combat this week’s cold weather! The coffee truck will be at Owens this Friday for staff and community purchase, so save your K-cup for another day and warm up with a delicious latte or cold brew from Tom’s.☕️
