Moore Receives $15,793.98 In Grant Funds

Innovation is a moving Target in Education but it’s not moving too fast for some of our Moore Mustang teachers. Congratulations to the teams of teachers on campus who partnered up to write innovative grant requests to the TISD Foundation. The TISD Foundation provides educators in Tyler ISD with the opportunity to apply for grant funds for projects that may not be covered by District or Campus funds. Congratulations to the band teachers, Christy Chambers, Joshua Kennedy, and Austin Willis for receiving a $5,000 grant for “Teaching Music Theory Through Technology”. Great Job to art teachers, Kyndall Luckey and Jessie Cunningham for receiving $2,393.98 for their art project called, “Differed Perspectives”. We also would like to applaud fine arts teachers, Bobi Jo Friesen, Patricia Thorn-Leeson, and Hannah Pascual for receiving $5,000 to incorporate show choir with dance in a grant called, “Dancing for a Brighter Tomorrow”. Congratulations also to Jessie Cunningham and Daniel Gutierrez for receiving $2,500 to assist with a student broadcast program in a grant called, “The Student Voice of Moore”. We look forward to experiencing all of these new and innovative programs on campus as they are implemented throughout the next 12 months. Thank you teachers for your efforts to be creative and thank you TISD Foundation for supporting them.
