Griffin Elementary School - Bulldog Strong

What started as a simple classroom lesson transformed into a striking, colorful illustration that merged home and school learning. Using techniques learned in art class, Sofia spent her evening creating her interpretation of our campus-wide theme for this year: EVERY PIECE MATTERS. Using vibrant colors from her permanent marker set, she painstakingly drew and colored each piece.  As a result, her artwork will be proudly displayed in the front foyer for all to appreciate. Sofia can always be seen writing or drawing in her free time. Her goal is to become an art teacher! Her teacher, Ms. Mendoza is in her 13th year with Tyler ISD and her fourth year at Griffin. She graduated from UT Tyler with a degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Studio and Education. Her love for art and her students is always on display!
