Students will be introduced to the heart in many nonconventional ways. They will be challenged to determine the type of information they want to learn and where to find in the library.
Questions such as:
Do I want to read about the heart as a feeling or emotion? Do I want to read about the heart as a holiday symbol ?
Do I want to learn about the heart as a human or animal organ?
Do I want to learn how the heart pumps and moves blood through the body? Do I want to learn how to draw or illustrate the heart?
Do I want to learn about the life of Kevin Hart?
*While this project will be conducted through the library to encourage reading exploration, funding is being provided through the generous donation of the PILOT Grant. It will also serve as a collaboration between Art to begin working with clay in their grade level Art classes!
