Our ECHS Owls participated in Sources of Strength last Friday at the CTC. Sources of Strength is a best practice youth suicide prevention project designed to harness the power of peer social networks to change unhealthy norms and culture, ultimately preventing suicide, bullying, and substance abuse. The mission of Sources of Strength is to prevent suicide by increasing help seeking behaviors and promoting connections between peers and caring adults. #WatchUsSoar

Congratulations to our sophomore student of the month; Alexa Sanchez-Velazquez. Her teachers say Alexa has shown after one year at ECHS that she is a top-notch student and friend. She has excelled and continues to impress her teachers. Way to go Alexa! #WatchUsSoar

Don't forget, Twin Day tomorrow!

Go Gold Week continues at ECHS. Today we stomp out cancer as we continue to take donations for children fighting cancer!

The first Booster Club meeting of the year is today, Tuesday 9/12, at 5:30 PM in the ECHS Cafeteria. Students of parents who attend will receive a "Drop your lowest grade" pass for any High School class. Hope to see you there!

Please remember, for the safety and security of all, to follow these precautions:
1. Wear your badge in a place where your face in the picture is visible at all times
2. Refrain from opening outside doors for others
3. Enter and exit through the front and back doors ONLY
4. NEVER leave a door propped open
5. Keep classroom doors locked at all times
Thank you

If you still haven't picked up chocolate or paid $120; please do so. As we have said many times, this fund raiser is non-negotiable for all ECHS students each year to help offset the cost of testing for all students. If there is an urgent reason why a student cannot participate and sell their 2 boxes, they need to speak with Mrs. Hortman. The last day for the competition for those who want to win the gift cards is September 29! If you have already taken chocolate, we have to have the money by that date as well. Thank you for your help!
