This year at ECHS, Mrs. Ellis encouraged and sponsored our young women to join GIVE, Girls Invested in Volunteer Efforts. Through their fundraising, they were able to help raise 12,000 to donate to the Gold Network of East Texas. The GIVE organization is part of the Women's Fund of Smith County, and together they sold socks that helped the homeless. ECHS students were able to research various charities and learn how non-profit organizations work. This year, their efforts paid off and they were able to present the Gold Network of East Texas the largest one-time donation they had ever received.
