Dixie ES: Attention 5th grade parents! Friday, November 29th is the deadline to apply for AVID. AVID is an elective your child could have in middle school if selected. The program seeks to prepare students for college eligibility and empowers them to strive for academic excellence. In the AVID class, students are educated on the numerous skills required to achieve academic success and tutored on all subjects. Dixie ES: Good Afternoon Parents. This is a friendly reminder that students are not allowed to take medications on campus unless it is distributed by the nurse. If students need to take medicine, it will need to prescribed and given to the nurse for her to administer or you will have to come to school to administer it to your child. Dixie ES: Tomorrow is our annual Storybook Character Parade. It will begin promptly at 8:30 AM so please make sure students are on time. Students should wear their costume and bring the matching book with them to school. Parents can watch the parade from the parking lots. Thank you.

Dixie ES: We're about an hour away from our annual Fall Fest event! The doors open at 5pm! Students who have already purchased their wristband will be admitted. If you haven't purchase a ticket yet, they will be sold for $5 at the door. All students MUST be accompanied by an adult and cannot be dropped off. We hope to see you all soon!
