18 Tyler ISD and Career & Technology Center senior students from the Family and Community Services pathway successfully completed the State of Texas Community Health Worker course, in collaboration with UT Tyler Center for Rural and Community Health. Once the course is complete they will be a certified CHW and can work in various areas of community health, such as chronic disease prevention , child health, and behavioral health, and at nonprofit organizations that service the community. The event was held at the CTC to honor the graduates, with family and friends attending.
