Girls dressed up in western wear for Round up day.

Caldwell students kicked off the opening of the East Texas State Fair with a special celebration of Round Up Day! The school was filled with western spirit as students and staff traded their everyday clothes for cowboy hats, boots, jeans, bandanas, and other western wear.

Round Up Day gave students an exciting opportunity to celebrate a special East Texas tradition while showing their school spirit. Hallways were filled with students dressed like cowboys and cowgirls, creating a fun and festive atmosphere across campus.

The celebration was especially exciting for students in third and fourth grade, who had the opportunity to visit the rodeo. Students were able to experience the excitement of the rodeo and see some of the traditions that make the East Texas State Fair such a special event in the community.

For many students, the rodeo experience was a chance to connect what they were celebrating at school with a larger community tradition. The sights, sounds, and excitement of the rodeo provided students with an experience they could share with their classmates and teachers.

Round Up Day also gave Caldwell an opportunity to celebrate its connection to the East Texas community. From western outfits to the excitement of the rodeo, students embraced the spirit of the fair and enjoyed a memorable day of fun.

Caldwell is proud to celebrate East Texas traditions and create experiences that students will remember for years to come!
