PAEMST

WOW!!! Another amazing victory for one of our Caldwell staff! Mrs. Layne Fumo has been named a finalist for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching! This honor is given to 3 teachers in the State of Texas and allows her to move on and become one of two recipients for Texas

The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) are the highest honors bestowed by the United States government specifically for K-12 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics teaching. The Awards were established by Congress in 1983. The President may recognize a total of 110 exemplary teachers each year.

If you know Mrs. Fumo or your child has had her in class, you will not be surprised by this honor. She has been dedicated to not only developing an amazing learning environment for her students, but models professional growth in her efforts to improve her instruction and lead others in excellence.

We are so proud of her nomination and achievement to become a finalist for the PAEMST! Lets wish her good luck all the way to Washington!
