Congratulations to Ray Allen, an 8th grader at Caldwell Arts Academy, for being named the District Secondary Student of the Month for January.

Ray Allen is the full package! He is the lead in the musical, on the academic honor roll, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, student body President, and so much more!

He constantly shows leadership by mentoring others around him and modeling high standards. This was evident by him stepping in and organizing “See You at the Pole,” a student led time of prayer and worship. He marketed it, created a script, sang, played the keyboards, and lead others in prayer.

He is a dedicated student and outstanding person!

Congratulations, Ray!

The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
