Spooky Science

It is 7:15 and a Caldwell Star gets out of their car and heads to the cafeteria. Their friends start to arrive right behind them and they catch up on all the things kids these days talk about. As the early morning energy begins to rise, a murmur comes across the crowd. One of their teachers has a sign on their door “Caution”!!!

What is going on?!? Is everything ok?!? At Caldwell, it is not only ok, it is another hint that today is going to be “more than meets the eye”. It is another transformational classroom!

This year alone, we have had more than half a dozen transformations. With teachers like Mrs. Fumo leading the way, these classroom makeovers resemble everything from an operating room, a full service Starbooks coffee shop (Thompson) , Swiftie Math Takeover (Ellexson), a Lava filled room (Fumo), to Spooky Learning adventures (Carter), our staff are inspired to create new engaging themes for our Caldwell classrooms.

Like transformers, it truly is “more than meets the eye”. These transformational classrooms don’t just engage our students in how the content applies to the real world. Deeper still, they take the students' learning space to a higher level of content connection, creative expression, and unforgettable memories.

Keep watching our facebook for live feeds of these unique student experiences and make sure you engage with your student on how the experience went. In fact, if you have a first grader, you will have a chance tomorrow!

Caldwell may not have “robots in disguise”, but we do have amazing educators that love making our school something special for your star! Share with us any stories from your students experience with transformational classrooms!
