He's going the distance.....He's going for speed....is not just the lyrics of the Cake's classic 1996 hit The Distance, it also describes Caldwell Star Finn Teuber's cross country season!
Not only did he attack every course with a goal to break his prior PR (personal record), he toppled the competition week after the week by coming in first place in multiple meets and wrapping up the season as Tyler ISD's Middle School District Champ!
The special connection is that his coach, Dennis Teuber, is also his dad. He says:
"I have had the privilege to be Finn’s coach this year. It’s not always easy being the parent and coach at the same time. Finn has made this process extremely easy for me. He was determined to build off his 7th grade track season and improve his time in XC. My varsity runners really inspired Finn and taught him what it meant to race with guts. I couldn’t be more proud of him and the season he had. Along the way, Finn has grown as a person and competitor."
Not only is Finn an outstanding runner, but he leads in the classroom through both his arts and academic classes! Caldwell is extremely proud of his efforts! Run Finn Run!
