elementary age students look at books on a table in the library

At Andy Woods Elementary School, the annual Book Fair (this year's theme was, "Reading is my Jam") is always an exciting time. Students love to travel down the halls to the library to see if they can find their favorite book, and secretly hope they have enough money left for a new sticker or eraser too. And, thanks to Andy Woods parents, grandparents, and community members, each student on campus gets to feel this excitement with “All for Books.”

All for Books guarantees that every student gets to purchase a book from the book fair. On Friday, teachers are asked to send any student that has not purchased a book to the book fair where they are presented with a certificate and are taken around to choose a book to take home! This year, the campus raised over $1400 and was able to give out about 150 book scholarships!

For the past nine years, the Andy Woods family has raised enough money where no child has been left out!
