elementary students holding artwork they created

Tyler Together Race Relations Forum hosted a student visual arts exhibition over a specific theme or quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year's theme was inspired by a quote that is engraved on the south wall of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Statue and is taken from a speech by Dr. King in 1963: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Students were invited to create an original piece of art about this theme.

Students from across the district have their artwork displayed at the Tyler Public Library through February 18.
