Twenty-two Tyler ISD teachers were recipients of a private shopping spree to pick out classroom and curriculum supplies. Each teacher received $1,000 to spend, courtesy of the Tyler ISD Foundation, Office Depot, and OfficeMax, to thank the amazing educators.

This kind of event is at the core of the Tyler ISD Foundation's mission, providing resources to teachers to directly impact students. "We are so blessed to have this opportunity to partner with Office Depot and OfficeMax," Tyler ISD Executive Director Suzette Farr said. "Every day, we're inspired by the creativity and innovation we see in our District classrooms. Today we were able to bless this wonderful Christmas gift to the teachers who make it all possible!"

For OfficeMax Store Manager Adam Dean, it was a particularly memorable morning when he saw one of his former teachers on the list. He shared his staff's excitement and planned to display pictures from the event for the community to see.

Foundation President Rick Allen and Vice President of Programs Courtney Burlison were also on hand at the event.
