Congratulations to our District Teacher of Month, Sam Becze, CTE Advanced Construction Technology, Engineering, and Architecture teacher at the Career & Technology Center.

Mr. Becze has continued to grow professionally and does an outstanding job of utilizing engaging instructional practices that incorporate hands-on and project-based learning to support his students in higher levels of achievement and success.  He serves as an advisor for the Technology Student Association and has had several students compete in a variety of CTE-related contests.  Mr. Becze is a team player and always willing to assist with whatever is needed at the CTC, as well as throughout the district and community, as evidenced by his students engaging in the following work-based learning projects and experiences:

  • Tyler ISD Literacy Bus
  • Playhouses on the Plaza for Habitat for Humanity
  • Deer blinds
  • Conference table restoration for Hospice of East Texas
  • Bee hive boxes for Tyler Legacy HS FFA and Flint Farm and Apiary
  • Student internships with Stiles Eletric working on the high school construction/remodeling projects

Sam Becze is an outstanding educator who goes above and beyond the ordinary expectations of classroom teacher to provide his students with the very best possible opportunities for successful student outcomes.
