Javier Arriaga, 5th grade student

Congratulations to Javier Arriaga, a 5th grade student at Austin Elementary School, for being named the District Elementary Student of the Month for February.

His teacher stated that Javier is the most appreciative student he has ever had. He always says "thank you" and is truly thankful for anything he receives.

Javier has been a dedicated office assistant this school year. He sacrifices his recess, leaving lunch as soon as he's finished eating to assist our office and administrative staff, and when unneeded there, he has a backup list of teachers to assist. He is one of the most dependable Lobo Leaders on the campus!

Congratulations, Javier!

The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by Texas Bank and Trust.

Students are nominated by their teachers and/or school principal and are recognized for their excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus and community involvement.  These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
