Congratulations to Dax Gongob, a 5th grade student at Dr. Bryan C. Jack Elementary School, for being named the District Elementary Student of the Month for October.

Dax has really practiced Habit #8, Finding Your Voice. This year, he signed up and was chosen as a member of the KJAC morning live announcement crew. In his application he stated, "I want to be a KJAC leader, to help people, encourage others and also help them learn about the school." He has certainly "Found His Voice" as a leader of the school and the announcements. He takes initiative and works on his script on his own time to provide jokes and the lunch menu, as well as other things.

The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
