In a moment of pride for Tyler High School, three exceptional students – Ayana Johnson, Eduardo Lemus, and Miguel Lugo – were recognized for their outstanding academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Program. These dedicated scholars have demonstrated their commitment to excellence and their unique qualities that enrich the fabric of their school community.

To qualify for this remarkable honor, these exceptional students had to meet specific criteria:

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 assessment scores that are within the top 10% of assessment takers in each state for each award program or earned a score of 3 or higher on 2 or more AP Exams in 9th and 10th grade.
  • Attend school in a rural area or small town, or identify as African American/Black, Hispanic American/Latino, or Indigenous/Native.

We are proud of Ayana, Eduardo, and Miguel for this well-deserved recognition. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and a testament to the school's commitment to fostering excellence in education.
