HONORS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
The Tyler Independent School District Board of Trustees recognizes the importance of the achievements of its students, staff, schools/departments and district. The board also recognizes community businesses, organizations, and individuals who make important contributions to our district or our schools. If you think someone you know should be recognized at a board meeting, the following information should help you decide if their honor or achievement qualifies for recognition. Please note, however, that this list is not all inclusive.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH - Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored.
Students are nominated by campus teachers or principals based on excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement.
