While still focusing on Black History Month, these 10th grade students practiced analyzing poetry (Langston Hughes' poem "I, too" from the Harlem Renaissance) by showing off their skills in Focused Listing in the hallway in preparation for a competitive game of Jeopardy. The categories were Stucture, Historical /Cultural Context, Symbolism, and the Tone/Mood of the poem.
