Help us welcome Lauren Manton to the Rice Ranger team. π She's the newest member of the 5th grade team and will teach Reading and Language Arts. While she's new to Rice, she's not new to Tyler ISD. Mrs. Manton worked alongside her husband, Justin, at Tyler Legacy last year where he coaches and she taught special education. We're so glad to have you! β€οΈπ€

After starting her teaching career in the DFW Metroplex, she spent the past four years teaching at Jack Elementary in Tyler. One of our 5th Gradeβ€οΈ teachers won a giveaway from TikTok! Her two favorite teacher influencers, PB & J, partnered with Tula skin care and each winner got a $500 Target gift card and Tula goodies. Mrs. Hall was able to get a lot of new things for her classroom and is ready for a fabulous year! π




Welcome another member of the Rice Leadership Team. πJacob Wadle is our new Dean of Students. He joins us from Whitehouse ISD where he taught, coached, and served as assistant athletic coordinator for the junior high. We're happy to have you! β


Rangers, help us welcome our new Rice Elementary counselor, Kylee Barrett! πShe is joining us from Lindale ISD where she served as a counselor. As a former music teacher, she shares a love of the arts with her husband, Hunter, who is the assistant band director at Hubbard Middle School. We are so excited to welcome Kylee to the Ranger family! β€οΈπ€


Today has been an I SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM day for Pre-K! π¦π¨











Pre-K had such an AYE-mazing pirate day today! We hunted for treasure, had a cannonball war, walked the plank over sharks, and tossed hooks on Captain Hookβs treasure map!

Once upon a time in a faraway land, also known as Rice Elementary, the youngest rangers had a magical week of reading and comparing enchanting fairytale stories. They acted out the stories and designed their own kingdoms. These rangers were also cordially invited to Princess Ruthieβs story time and tea party!
