Pre-K through 1st grade students at Ramey celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday on Tuesday, September 26th by learning about the parts of an apple and stamping a basket full of apples.
They also identified real apple parts and sorted them with a partner. They were challenged to read each word and find the part that matched it.
Before leaving the library, Mrs. Smyth shared some homemade cinnamon apple sauce with them! The library smelled delicious all day!
The students all tried the apple sauce, even though some said they didn't like it. It was fun to experience something new!
