elementary age kids on football field doing physical education activities

Tyler ISD, Your Hometown District, recently played host to a spectacular display of talent at the PE Showcase held at Rose Stadium. Kindergarten through 5th-grade students from every elementary campus participated in the event, showcasing their skills in various physical activities.

From parachute skills to catching and throwing, jump rope, fitness activities, soccer, and football, the young participants demonstrated their enthusiasm for physical education. The culmination of the evening was marked by a lively Showcase dance, where students could express themselves and celebrate their achievements.

Tyler ISD Coordinator of Health & PE, Hayley Skinner, expressed her delight in having parents and family members attend the PE Showcase. "I love it when parents and other family members get to come out to our PE Showcase and see what our students are doing in PE," Skinner remarked. She emphasized that the event provides a unique opportunity for families to come together without missing work, and there's no limit to the number of attendees a student can bring.

The PE Showcase, held every other year at Rose Stadium, serves as a platform for students to shine and for families to witness the progress their children are making in physical education. The district extends its gratitude to PE teachers, regular teachers, principals, and families for their support in making the event a success.
