It’s the end of the first nine weeks of school, and Peete Elementary School employees were shown some sweet appreciation by Green Acres Baptist Church members. Green Acres Baptist Church is a member of Churches Serving Schools, an official Success Partner of Tyler ISD. “We wanted to encourage teachers and all employees at Peete as they finish the first nine weeks of school,” said member Sue Stallings. “We decided to use the creative theme of Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23. We highlighted each fruit mentioned in the scripture and made personal signs in a Lucite frame.”

Each employee who stopped by also received a ring holding all nine scripture cards. This personal touch is something Green Acres concentrates on as they support Peete Elementary as their partner school throughout the school year.

Staff and Principal Larena Brooks enjoyed the fellowship and fresh fruit that was provided. It was perfect timing for the Green Acres members to visit and celebrate them as educators focused on Successful Student Outcomes. Peete Elementary School Assistant Principal Ms. Perez removed the pictures from the frames to laminate. She plans to have them laminated and posted on bulletin boards in the teacher’s lounge and workroom.
