drug free Red ribbon week

Orr Elementary Celebrates Red Ribbon Week! πŸŽ‰

Red Ribbon Week is a special time each year when students, teachers, and families come together to say β€œNo” to drugs and make healthy choices. It all started in 1985 to honor DEA Agent Enrique β€œKiki” Camarena, who worked hard to fight drugs and help keep kids safe. Today, schools across the country celebrate Red Ribbon Week with fun activities, lessons, and ways to show their commitment to staying healthy.

At Orr Elementary, we are excited to celebrate Red Ribbon Week with fun dress-up days! Here’s what’s coming up:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 28 – Spirit Day: Show your Orr pride with school colors or gear!

  • Wednesday, Oct. 29 – Pink Out & Hat Day: Wear pink to support breast cancer awareness and top it off with your favorite hat.

  • Thursday, Oct. 30 – Camo or Animal Print Day: Blend in or stand out with your coolest camouflage or animal print!

  • Friday, Oct. 31 – Storybook Character Day: Dress as your favorite book character (no scary costumes, please) and celebrate reading.

Red Ribbon Week is a fun way to learn, make good choices, and celebrate healthy, happy lives. Let’s make this week colorful, creative, and full of Orr pride! πŸ–οΈβœ¨
