The halls of Orr Elementary will soon be filled with excitement and energy as students return on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, for the start of a new school year! Our staff has been hard at work preparing classrooms, setting up learning spaces, and planning engaging lessons to ensure a successful and joyful beginning for all students.
For our new families, here are a few tips to help make the transition smoother:
School opens at 7:00 AM through the back entrance, and the front doors open at 7:30 AM.
Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 7:45 AM—make sure your child arrives in time to fuel up for the day!
Parents will only be able to walk students in on the first day of school. You must check in at the front office and have a valid photo ID ready.
Label everything—backpacks, lunchboxes, and coats should be marked with your child’s name.
Establish a routine early to help your child adjust smoothly.
Meet the Teacher Night is scheduled for Monday, August 11, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
