Tyler ISD is proud to have the third largest law enforcement team in Smith County.  In a show of appreciation for the dedicated men and women who ensure the safety and security of Tyler ISD, campuses across the district are celebrating National Law Enforcement Day.

The Tyler ISD Police Department is fully staffed, demonstrating their commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The district recognizes the importance of having a strong and vigilant law enforcement team to address any potential challenges and emergencies swiftly.

Campuses within Tyler ISD are taking this opportunity to honor their police officers in various creative ways. From heartfelt notes and letters of appreciation to small gatherings expressing gratitude, the district is coming together to show support for those who work tirelessly to keep everyone safe.

Superintendent Dr. Marty Crawford expressed his gratitude, stating, "Our Tyler ISD Police Department plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff. On National Law Enforcement Day, we take a moment to appreciate their hard work, dedication, and commitment to keeping our campuses safe. We are grateful for their service."

As the day unfolds, the Tyler ISD community is reminded of the importance of recognizing and supporting law enforcement officers who contribute to the overall well-being of the district. National Law Enforcement Day serves as an opportunity for everyone to express their gratitude and appreciation for the officers who maintain a safe and nurturing educational environment.

We appreciate the support of our Success Partner, Stanley’s Famous Pit Barbeque, who provided 10 gift cards that were given to officers through a random drawing.
