Congratulations to our District Secondary Teacher of Month, Keith Showen, 11th and 12th grade English teacher at Tyler Legacy High School.

He is highly intentional in his work with studentsβ€”designing lessons that build both skill and confidence while ensuring all learners are supported and challenged. His classroom reflects a genuine commitment to student growth, where relationships and academic rigor go hand in hand.

Mr. Showen’s passion for English content is evident in the way he brings literature and writing to life, making learning meaningful and engaging for students. Beyond the classroom, he plays a critical role on campus as the Graduation Coordinator, where his organization and follow-through help ensure students and the community have the best experience as they celebrate this important milestone. As a member of the Tyler Legacy Campus Instructional Leadership Team, he contributes thoughtfully to campus-wide improvement efforts and supports a culture of continuous growth.
