February Staff of the Month

We are thrilled to announce Tyler Legacy's Staff of the Month for February is Mrs. Annie Winstead! Let's get to know her a little bit!

What subject do you teach? English II on-level and Pre-AP English I

How long have you been teaching? I have been teaching for 21 years. I absolutely loved my high school English teacher, so that is a HUGE reason for me choosing this subject to teach.

What is your favorite thing about Legacy? What I love about Legacy is that everyone does their best to keep a close-knit environment of learning happening in each department even with our campus being so large.

Fun Fact? In the summer of 2019, I challenged myself to completing one of Colorado's most difficult hiking trails, the Manitou Incline, which is a one-mile climb with 2,768 steps and a 2,000-foot elevation gain. During the hike, there were numerous times that I wanted to QUIT due to exhaustion, but I kept climbing and FINISHED the trail!
