Congratulations to Caroline Holman, senior at Tyler Legacy High School, for being named District Secondary Student of the Month.
Caroline is a dedicated and accomplished student. Over the years, she has consistently demonstrated the academic excellence, leadership, and character that make her stand out among her peers.
Caroline maintains an impressive 3.92 GPA (3.96 weighted) and currently holds a class rank of 44, a testament to her strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity. As an AP Capstone candidate and an AP Scholar with Distinction, she has embraced rigorous coursework and excelled at the highest levels. Her academic achievements, paired with her recognition as a Broadway Dallas nominee and induction into the National Honor Society, highlight her versatility as both a scholar and a leader.
Beyond the classroom, Caroline has immersed herself in a variety of extracurricular and professional experiences that showcase her dedication and time management skills. In our theater program, she has served as stage manager and assistant stage manager, ensuring the success of countless productions through her organization and problem solving. Her leadership extended to serving as sound crew head and lead stage manager at Magill Musical Theater Studio. Additionally, as a member of HOSA, she qualified for district competitions, a clear reflection of her commitment to pursuing a career in medicine.
Caroline also balances academics and extracurriculars with her work as a part-time barista at Laurel and Pearl Bakery, demonstrating responsibility, reliability, and an ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. These experiences have helped shape her into a driven, empathetic, and well-rounded young woman who aspires to major in Biology with a Pre-Med concentration in Genetics and ultimately become a doctor. Caroline is the kind of student who not only excels in all she undertakes but also uplifts those around her.
The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
