Beaux Limmer, former Robert E. Lee High School standout football player, returned to his hometown school district to share invaluable insights and words of wisdom with aspiring athletes at Tyler Legacy High School. With the NFL Draft looming on the horizon, the 6’5” center and right guard for the University of Arkansas took the opportunity to connect with current football players from his former high school, offering guidance, inspiration, and a testament to the power of determination. Limmer was a part of the Red Raider football team under Coach Jeff Traylor from 2014-2018.

“I think it’s important for the guys to see and hear from someone who was able to succeed at the collegiate level both on the field and in the classroom, who was in their shoes five years ago,” Limmer said. “I think that they will be able to relate to someone who has had similar experiences as they have. I know that when people came to talk to the team when I was in school, it always gave me a little extra motivation.”

Limmer attended the University of Arkansas between 2019-2023 and graduated with a degree in finance. As a redshirt sophomore in 2021, he started the last 11 games for the Razorbacks. As a redshirt junior in 2022, he started all 13 games, the first 12 at right guard, before switching to center for the Liberty Bowl. He was selected by Pro Football Focus as a third-team All-American. Limmer moved to the center position for Arkansas in 2023. Limmer has 41 career starts as a center and right guard. He played in the 2024 Senior Bowl and attended the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, where he had the most bench press reps and 2nd highest vertical among the offensive linemen.

“I can’t stress enough how valuable and exciting it was to have Beaux Limmer visit our football team,” Tyler Legacy Football Coach Beau Trahan said. “Beaux is not just a talented athlete but a role model for our students. To see someone who once walked the same halls, dressed in the same locker rooms, and played on the same field now achieving great success and still taking the time to give back to our kids is truly remarkable. We wish Beaux all the luck in the world in the upcoming NFL draft. We know he will have a great career ahead of him, and he is always welcome here at Tyler Legacy High School.”

Limmer’s journey from Tyler ISD to the cusp of the NFL Draft serves as a beacon of hope and motivation for young athletes dreaming of reaching similar heights. Having walked the halls of his alma mater, Limmer understands firsthand the dreams and aspirations of Tyler ISD’s student-athletes. His return symbolizes a reunion with his past and a commitment to giving back to the community that helped shape him into the athlete and individual he is today.

During his visit, Limmer imparted invaluable lessons gleaned from his own experiences on and off the field. He emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. He specifically emphasized how important school is and how important it is to take it seriously. He also reminded the players to be mindful of how they act in public and that they represent our family, football program, high school, and community.

“Be where your feet are,” Limmer shared with the team. “Realize how many people look up to y’all and would love to be in y’all’s shoes. Understand that you are all leaders in the school and the community and are held to a higher standard than everyone. Most of all, try to enjoy every moment of this. Y’all are making memories right now that you will remember for the rest of your lives.”

Moreover, Limmer emphasized the significance of education and character development alongside athletic pursuits. As a product of Tyler ISD, he understands the importance of a well-rounded education and the role it plays in shaping future success. Limmer encouraged the football players to prioritize academics, cultivate strong work ethics, and embody the values of integrity, discipline, and teamwork on and off the field.

As he prepares to embark on the next chapter of his football career, Limmer’s visit serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of staying connected to one’s roots and paying it forward to future generations.

“It’s a mix of being a little nervous and super excited,” Limmer said. “A little nervous because of the uncertainty of where I could end up going. I am super excited because I have worked very hard for a very long time for this opportunity to fulfill a dream of mine. What keeps me grounded is that I do know that the LORD has a plan for me, and I will end up wherever I am supposed to.”
