Today is βFiesta Dayβ for Jones Jaguars. We are celebrating together by wearing festive clothing in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month! 




Our bilingual department surprised our students with a treat today as they learned about the holiday called Dia de los Ninos (Childrenβs Day). Thank you, ladies! 




Our Jones book fair will run October 3-7. Your students can shop without cash by setting up an e-wallet at https://bit.ly/jeswallet. Every student that has an E-wallet set up for them will be entered into a raffle to win $50 to spend at the book fair!

Our Book Fair is coming next week and parents may come shop with their child at morning drop off from 7:30-8:00 or during their lunch break between 11:00-1:00. Please see the schedule below for your child's assigned day. Families that have students from multiple grades may shop with all of their children on the day of their choice. 
Monday: Pre-K and Kinder
Tuesday: 1st
Wednesday: 2nd
Thursday: 3rd
Friday: 4th/5th
**Shop late on Thurs. Oct. 6 from 5:30-6:15 at Family Literacy Night**

Jones Elementary is thrilled to have been selected by Tradehomes Shoe Store to be the regional recipient of a generous donation of brand new shoes for our students. Thank you, Tradehomes! π 




Farmer Dukes and Farmer Brian were spotted in the Jones hallway with their piggy today.  They will soon have a chance to visit a real pig at the East Texas State Fair! 

Jones students enjoyed some special visitors from the bilingual department today to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

You won't want to miss our Jones Elementary Open House tomorrow, September 22nd from 5-7!  We will begin in the cafe from 5-5:30 to have a general meeting and a special performance by all 3rd grade students.  Every student who attends will receive a FREE gourmet popsicle from Frio's Gourmet Pops! We will also have food available for purchase from C. Rojo's food truck.  See you there!
