taco bar

The CTC Culinary Cafe opened today for the public with a tasty taco bar, salsa and chips, guacamole and churros!  Students prepared the carnitas by slow-cooking them for twelve hours. The chicken was prepared by students, as well, using an adobo marinade. Students also created the churro dough ready to be fried to order. The CTC Culinary Cafe had a great turnout and the food was delicious! Chef Strother, Chef Bridges, and Culinary students deserve a big shoutout for their dedication, craft and delicious efforts!  The cafe is open every Wednesday and Thursday (not during Spring Break) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and is open to the public. Tyler ISD staff just need to show their badges upon entering the CTC. Community members need to show proof of ID at the office before joining us for lunch. We hope to see you next week with  a new menu! For more information on the Culinary program of study, please visit: Culinary Arts
