A young kindergarten girl high fives a large dog as other students look on in a library.

Biscuit the Paw Washing Dog visited several Tyler ISD elementary schools, including Clarkston Elementary to teach students proper hand hygiene. Students Pre-K and kindergarten enjoyed the presentation in the library.

Biscuit the Paw Washing Dog is a mascot for Symmetry Soap Company and Buckeye International, Inc., manufacturers of a new foam soap being distributed throughout the school district. Their program for preschool through third grade students includes an interactive video titled What’s Wrong with This Picture? that emphasizes when students should wash or sanitize their hands. Students learn information about germs followed by proper hand washΒing and hand sanitizing steps. At the end of the assembly, each student receives an β€œI Wash My Hands” sticker to remind them of the importance of hand hygiene.

Symmetry Hand washing Assemblies are strictly educational and help raise hand washing awareness among elemenΒtary school students. The goal of these assemblies is to help elementary students develop good hand hygiene habits to use for the rest of their lives while having fun doing it.
