TYLER, TX — Get ready to bring your favorite book characters to life in a whole new way this October! The library has officially announced its Pumpkin Character Contest, combining autumn fun with literary flair, and the entire community is invited to join.
To enter, participants simply need to decorate a real or styrofoam pumpkin to look like a beloved character from a book. To keep the display fresh and clean for everyone, the library has issued a couple of strict rules: no carving and no candy allowed! Lean into paint, fabric, and your own creativity instead.
Best of all, every single participant will be automatically entered into a raffle to win Campfire Magic Book Fair Bucks, which can be spent like real cash at the upcoming book fair!
Ready to get crafting? You can start bringing your completed pumpkin characters to the library on October 5th. The absolute final deadline to submit your masterpiece is October 15th.
Gather your paints, pick your favorite book, and let’s fill the library with a patch of magical storybook pumpkins! For more details, stop by the front desk or check out the event flyer.
