Families recently gathered for our Data and Donuts event, a special opportunity for students to showcase their learning and celebrate their progress. Parents and family members were invited to enjoy donuts while students guided them through their personal data binders, highlighting their growth and achievements from the entire school year. The event created a welcoming environment where families could see firsthand the hard work students have put into their learning.

Throughout the event, students proudly explained their academic goals, shared assessment results, and discussed the progress they have made over time. With their binders in hand, students walked their families through charts, graphs, and reflections that demonstrated how their skills have developed. It was a powerful moment for families to hear directly from students about what they have learned and what they are continuing to work toward.

Helping students take ownership of their data is an important part of building strong, confident learners. When students understand their progress and can explain it to others, they become more invested in their learning and more motivated to set and reach new goals. Events like Data and Donuts empower students to take pride in their growth while strengthening the partnership between school and home. π©ππ
