Our campus recently transformed into a vibrant Living History Museum as students brought influential African-American historical figures to life. Each student was assigned an important figure to research, diving deep into their accomplishments, challenges, and lasting impact on history. Using their research, students created detailed trifold presentation boards highlighting key facts, timelines, and achievements. They also prepared and memorized speeches to share their learning in a meaningful and engaging way.

To make the experience even more immersive, many students dressed as their historical figure, truly stepping into character. As parents, guests, and visitors toured the museum, they stopped at each display where students confidently recited their speeches, educating viewers about the remarkable contributions of their chosen leaders, innovators, activists, and trailblazers. The event was not only a celebration of history, but also a powerful demonstration of student research, public speaking, and pride in learning.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our parents and families for their incredible support. Whether you helped design and assemble trifold boards at home, listened to practice speeches at the dinner table, found costume pieces, or took time out of your day to attend the event, your involvement made this experience even more meaningful. Your partnership plays a vital role in our studentsβ success, and we are so grateful for the encouragement and support you provide.
