Our campus recently hosted Leader Assemblies for students in grades PK–2 and 3–5 to recognize and celebrate outstanding academic achievement, positive behavior, and leadership. During the assemblies, students were honored for earning A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, and the Heart of Integrity Award, highlighting their hard work, dedication, and commitment to doing their best both in and out of the classroom. These celebrations gave students an opportunity to be recognized in front of their peers for their efforts throughout the grading period.

The assemblies also spotlighted student creativity and talent. Three students were recognized for having their artwork featured in a PTA art contest, advancing from the campus level to the district level of competition. This achievement reflects not only their artistic skills but also the encouragement and support from families and staff who help foster creativity and confidence in our students.

To wrap up the assemblies, students participated in a fun and energetic game called the Reindeer Snowball Relay. Teams wore plastic cups on their hands as β€œhooves” and raced to collect marshmallowsβ€”representing snowballsβ€”and place them into their buckets. The goal was to collect as many snowballs as possible in just one minute, filling the room with laughter, teamwork, and excitement.

Celebrating academic success and positive behavior helps motivate students to continue striving for excellence while reinforcing the importance of responsibility, perseverance, and integrity. Recognitions like these assemblies build confidence, strengthen school culture, and show students that their efforts matter. By celebrating both achievement and character, we help inspire students to become leaders who are proud of their accomplishments and eager to keep growing.
