The students were excited about BIG Art Day at Clarkston Elementary School. “This was our inaugural year, so we wanted to kick it off big,” Clarkston Art Teacher Ms. Robinson said. “All of our kindergarten through fifth-grade students had something special to work on for this project. One of the best parts is that they work together to create something beautiful.”

The youngest students could use paint, glitter, ribbon, and other supplies to learn about textures by making their own stick art. At the end of the project, they displayed their colorful creations, no two alike, on a giant bright navy-blue mat.
