Our Boys 8th Grade Athletes had the opportunity to witness Tyler High School’s Football Signing Day. This opportunity aligned with our AVID campus culture, as it encouraged our young athletes to visualize their future and set goals beyond middle school. We are grateful for this amazing experience.

Viking Players of the Week

This morning, Coach Fred Green met with the Viking Athletes for FCA Friday! FCA Fridays- Fellowship of Christian Athletes! Title: Living Sacrifice Message: We were created to Stand Out, not only athletically, but Spiritually! Key Scripture: Romans 12:2 (NIV) Do NOT be conformed to the pattern of this world, but TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing, and perfect will!

Viking Basketball Very proud of both squads in how they competed over the weekend @ the I-30 THROWDOWN! Congratulations “8th Grade A” on finishing 2nd place in a hard fought championship game ! “7th A” finished 4th!

On Monday, Jan. 20, these young men of the Boulter Middle School Boys Athletic Program represented our school with pride as they gathered to fellowship and participate in the downtown Tyler march honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These outstanding young men also had the honor of leading the Pledge of Allegiance during the celebration, showcasing their leadership and commitment to our community. We are proud of their dedication both on and off the field as they continue to exemplify the values of respect, service, and teamwork. Students in Ms. E Kennedy's 7th grade RLA classes participated in the "Young Writers - Fright Club contest. 68 of her students had their mini sagas chosen to be published in the "Fright Club - The Cursed Ones" book. We are so proud of these Viking writers!

Starting January 27th until the end of the school year the school nurse will be conducting spinal screenings as mandated by Texas Department of State Health Services. State law requires the testing of 12-year-old girls and 14-year-old boys. Trained screeners will check your child for signs of spinal problems like Scoliosis. Catching a spinal problem early can make treatment much easier. Not treating spinal problems can lead to serious health problems. The screening is simple. Screeners will look at your child's back while he or she stands and bends forward. The school nurse will send you a letter if your child does not pass the screening. If you do not wish for your child to be screened and prefer their physician to screen, you must notify the school nurse at 903-262-1447 by January 21st.

Both the Lady Vikings & Viking athletic programs gifted our wonderful custodian aka "Field House Mom", Ms. Redic with a Christmas gift to show our appreciation for keeping our athletic facilities and locker rooms clean daily!
