Students in Ms. Ellis’s Lunch Bunch recently gathered in the library to celebrate Halloween with a special treat of cookies and coffee. Hosted by Ms. Ellis, the school librarian, the event gave students an opportunity to relax, enjoy seasonal refreshments, and spend time with friends in one of their favorite places on campus.

While the Halloween treats added excitement to the day, the event was about much more than cookies and coffee. The library serves as a safe and welcoming space where students can connect with others, explore their interests, and develop a love of reading. Through activities like Lunch Bunch, students build positive associations with the library and become more engaged with literacy.

Creating enjoyable experiences in the library encourages students to spend more time surrounded by books, resources, and opportunities for learning. Whether students are checking out a new book, working on a project, or simply enjoying a quiet place to recharge, the library provides an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

The Halloween celebration was a fun way to bring students together and strengthen the sense of community that makes the library such a special place. Thanks to Ms. Ellis’s dedication, the library continues to be a hub for literacy, learning, and belonging. Events like Lunch Bunch help students see the library not only as a place to read, but also as a place where they can feel safe, connected, and inspired.
