Teachers took part in Get Your Teach On’s Rock Your School initiative by transforming their classrooms into engaging learning spaces and leading themed activities for students. The event encouraged educators to do something different, whether big or small, to make learning special. Students explored lessons in fresh, creative environments as teachers celebrated teaching, learning, and the school community’s shared commitment to making each day meaningful.
During library lessons, students were invited to a "Book Tasting" to learn about the different nonfiction books in the library. This immersive activity helped promote a love of literacy and allowed students to preview books that may interest them. This was a fun way to introduce the Dewey Decimal System and teach students where to find books of interest in the library.
