The halls of the Boshears Center are abuzz with excitement as the BUZZIN’ BEES Snack Cart makes its rounds from classroom to classroom. Formerly known as the Boshears Snack Shop, this revamped mobile snack service, operated by select students from the CONNECT program, adds a new dynamic to the school's culinary offerings.

BUZZIN’ BEES Snack Cart

The BUZZIN’ BEES Snack Cart operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 12:20pm to 1:20pm, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00am to 10:35am.

This initiative provides students with a hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and customer service, further enriching their educational journey at the Boshears Center.  Students at the Boshears Center serve as both patrons and customer service representatives. The students have opportunities to utilize their individual communication systems to greet, make requests, respond to questions, and practice socialization skills.

The CONNECT Student Customer Service Representatives will also practice work-based skills by stocking the cart, making sure it is ready for business, and manage the money made during the activity. Students are then able to generalize these skills during their work-based learning trips in the community. It is a win-win situation for all involved.
